Fixed LED turn signal conversion June 25, 2018

Reviewer: Tom Lawrence

Recently converted all of the turn signal lights on my 2001 F150 to LED and resulted in the ""rapid turn signal flash"". This easy swap corrected the problem without splicing in resistors or altering factory wiring.

Fixes LED lamp issues. Don't ever use resistors June 12, 2018

Reviewer: Jason

The proper and quality replacement to remedy fast 'hyper' flashing of turn signal lamps due to the use of LED lamps. In my case this 5-pin LED relay flasher was a direct replacement for the stock EP27 flasher on my 2004 Ford Explorer and restored normal signal operation and has functioned reliably.

5-pin flasher works well with LED May 26, 2018

Reviewer: Pilchard

Replacing this was tough, mostly as there wasn't a video covering my 2006 Ford Expedition online at youtube. It works very well, and does a great job. For anyone interested you do not need to remove any panels in a 2006 Ford Expedition, the box covering the turn signal is in the far left (as you face the steering wheel) on the drivers side. The box is about twice as wide as it is deep and has 2 slightly differing heights. You must push a release on both sides at the same time which are above the midway of it's height from the socket. This will work as a lever to release the clamps which are on either side. Once the clamps are removed and the cover box is removed, it is easy to take out the turn signal relay (it is closest to the steering wheel). Pulling the old part and replacing with this new part took some contortion but can be done without removal of any panel. A pry tool helps to get it started. My signals now indicate at the same speed without regard to burned out or LED bulb. This allows me to replace my old bulbs with LED's which are brighter and have a much longer estimated life span.

Stops Hyperflash but Not Exact OEM Fit May 10, 2018

Reviewer: Devildog1.0

I installed this 5-pin LED flasher relay in a 2007 Ford F150. I have LED signal lights in the front and rear and I'm not getting the hyperflash at all. As I read in other reviews, after you install this relay, once the signal turns off or cancels, you'll continue to hear 2-3 more ticks.  The LED lights won't come on or flash, but you'll hear the ticks as if they were still flashing.  If you have the radio going, it won't be a bother at all.  And after driving around with it and using the electronic LED flasher for a while, I've gotten used to it and don't notice it much at all anymore.

In my Ford F150, this relay was actually smaller than the OEM relay.  The OEM relay had a cover that extended past the prongs.  The OEM relay also had a push connector/holder that this new unit doesn't have; so I had to secure my LED flasher relay underneath the steering wheel using a bit of Velcro.  My relay was located directly under the steering wheel. I simply stuck my head down there between the steering wheel and the pedals and I was able to access and change it out with no issues and without the need to take anything apart.
