This RGB LED Angel Eye set comes with a newly upgraded Radio Frequency remote control that has a 60 ft range so you don't have to directly point the remote to the receiver. The Radio Frequency remote has less interference than the previous (Infrared) remote and has a much easier installation. The receiver does not have to be exposed outside of the vehicle so it lasts longer. You can even use the remote to control the color change while you're sitting inside the
car.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this product trigger any error message on my BMW dashboard?
A: No, this is an add-on product means it will not replace any of your existing components on your car, therefore it will not trigger any error on dashboard.
Q: How do I install this product?
A: You need to first open up your BMW headlight housings in order to install these RGB LED Angel Eyes Halo Rings. You can check this BMW headlight removal for how to open the housing. Then take a look at how to install the RGB Angel Eyes here for more details.
Q: Where do I tap the wires?
A: To power up the module box, connect the red wire to a 12V power source (+) such as the passenger side stock turn signal lamp
Stage I , and place the IR receiver in between the gap of the passenger corner lamp/fender or route it to the BMW center grill. Connect the black wire to a ground connection. Make sure you do not mix these two wires up; connecting the two wires incorrectly (e.g. tapping the black wire to a positive connection and the red wire to a ground) may result in permanently damaging the module box.
Q: What's the difference between Infrared (IR) remote control and Radio Frequency (RF) wireless remote control?
A: Radio Frequency Wireless Remote Control has a much better range than an Infrared remote control. Since it uses radio frequency, you don't have to point the remote directly to the receiver to get it to work. On the other hand, an IR remote is like a TV remote where you have to directly point the remote to the receiver, whereas the Radio Frequency Wireless Remote Control can be used while you're even sitting inside your car.
Q: Can I use the remote control inside my car?
A: Since this product is using the IR remote (similar to the TV remote) it requires you point the remote directly facing the module box's receiver within a range of 20-25ft. Hence we recommend you place the IR receiver near the front BMW center grill so you can stand in front of the car using the remote control. We do not recommend you use the remote inside the car since these RGB LEDs are consider off-road use only.
Q: How come the remote control is not responding very well?
A: Can you please double check the following three possible reasons: 1) The IR receiver is placed some where completely visible? 2) Whether the Module Box is connected to the turn signal lamp 12V or the ACC/Ignition to ensure full 12V supplied to the module box? 3) The optimal range is 20 ft, so if you stand in front of the vehicle around 20 ft with the remote IR LED facing the receiver, you should not have any problem? 4) Another issue could be that the remote has ran out of batteries, please try replacing the battery as well to see if that resolves any issues you are having?
Q: Can the RGB rings stay at a solid color without flash?
A: Yes, you can set the rings to stay at any of the 7 colors without flashing.
Q: How come the white color of this RGB rings looks kind of weird?
A: For the RGB rings, the white color is mixed with Red + Green + Blue, therefore it is not exact "White" like a single color white LED look.
