Where can I mount the LED daytime running lights?
The LED daytime running lights can be mount anywhere in front of the car.
How do I tap the wire for the LED daytime running lights?
Step 1: Tap LED daytime running lamp to any existing 12V power source such as parking lights, fog lights or headlights. [Difficulty: **]
Step 1: Tap LED daytime running lamp to the battery using an Automatic DRL On/Off Switch. (recommended) [difficulty: *]
Step 3: Directly tap the LED daytime running lamp to battery and add a switch. [difficulty: ***]
Step 4: Tap the LED daytime running lamp to the fuse box by finding the ACC 12V switched power [difficulty: ****]
a) Open your fuse box and try see if there is any unused 4-pin mini or 4-pin micro relay sockets. Test the pin first to make sure it gets power when the car starts.
b) If you can't find any unused relay socket, you need to pull off one relay in use (Try to pull out the ones used for fan, AC, horn etc. DO NOT use the ones use for ECU, IGN, etc)
c) Please take a look at these diagrams below and find the ACC switched power location.
d) All you have to do is to tap the LED light positive to #86 for mini or #1 for micro and tap the LED light negative to ground. For safety concerns, you can also add an inline fuse on the positive wire for the LED light.
