This is an installation tutorial on how to mount the no-drill license plate mounting bracket relocator for the 2015-up Ford Mustang (AA2143). This heavy-duty steel mounting bracket will allow you to display your license plate as if it was bolted to your lower grille. Your license plate will be mounted off the bumper, however; this installation will not involve drilling or otherwise modifying your Mustang's bumper. You may first have to remove your stock license plate mount.
Step 1: From under the front bumper, remove the two screws on the under-engine shield with a socket wrench.
Step 2: Thread the same screws you removed through the mounting holes. Use M8 nuts as washers.
Using the M8 nuts as washers will ensure that your license plate mounting bracket sits horizontally along the ground. As a result, your license plate will appear straight and uniform.
Step 3: Secure the steel mounting bracket onto your under-engine shield. Mount your license plate onto the bracket. You may now enjoy your Ford Mustang's new front-end look with its center-mounted license plate!
