Q: How do I install the LED sequential turn signal kit on my Mazda MX-5?

1) Remove the bolt on top of the tail light and the bolt behind the trunk carpet liner

2) Remove the tail light and unplug the OEM bulb

3) Plug in the new LED sequential turn signal bulb

4) Plug in the included wiring harness adapters to the factory plugs and mount the resistors to a metal surface

2017 RF GT has the LED combo tail lights. Is the resistor still required and will the unit work without the resistor? thank you

This item replaces the stock incandescent 7440 rear turn signal bulbs with a modern sequential flashing full LED blinker. You do need to connect the resistors to prevent hyper flashing.

Would front LED turn signals require resistors as well if these were installed?

Yes, we recommend installing resistors with the front turn signals if you are trying to convert them to LED. Otherwise, your turn signals my hyper-flash.
