This installation guide will show you how to easily install a rear LED Pod Light for a 2007-up Jeep Wrangler (35-957-White). For more information, go to the 24W CREE Rear LED Pod Light for 2007-up Jeep Wrangler page.
Step 1: Fasten the L-bracket to the LED pod light. Align the hole to the center as shown in the picture below. Insert the bolt through the L-bracket first, and then screw in the nut.
As you can see, putting the bolt through the slide mechanism will not give you the mounting space you need over your existing reverse light.
Step 2: Using a screwdriver, unscrew the nuts located in the back of your Jeep Wrangler’s stock brake lamp.
Step 3: Align the holes of the L-bracket to the mounting holes of the brake lamp. Screw the mounting nuts back in tightly.
Step 4: Extend the wires to your existing reverse light. If the wire length is insufficient for you, you can purchase longer wires at your local hardware store.
Note that there may be a few blemishes on the sliding bracket. Because this mechanism gives your LED pod light adjustability, the nuts will rub the finish off the sliding bracket. For a clean finish of your LED pod light, you can use touch-up paint to cover the scratches.
The LED pod light for your 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler has multipurpose functions. Instead of extending the wires to your reverse light, you can do so on other parts of your car to serve as fog light or an off-road search light. You may even wire a switch to the LED pod light for an on/off function.
