This installation guides applies for 75-411 JDM Honda 2016-2022 Vezel LED Bumper Reflectors For USMD Honda HR-V.
Step 1: To simplify the installation process, it's recommended to remove the bumper if feasible. While installation with the bumper intact is possible, it requires crouching beneath the bumper to conduct wiring and mounting tasks.
Step 2: After removing the bumper, note the USDM Honda HR-V's bumper reflector is held in place by three screws. Unscrew these to remove the reflectors. This mounting differs from the JDM Vezel's bumper reflector, which does not use the same three-screw configuration.
Step 3: Observe that the holding tabs of the JDM Vezel bumper reflector differ from those on the US Honda HR-V. However, installation is still possible due to the identical shape, and a hot glue gun can be used to securely attach the new LED bumper reflectors from behind. (Additionally, the hot glue is not permanent, will not harm the bumper, and can be easily removed later without leaving any residue.)
Before proceeding, ensure the entire area is thoroughly cleaned to remove all dust, dirt, and oil, and allow it to dry completely. This preparation enhances the glue's ability to bond the lamp effectively.
Step 4: After securing the LED bumper reflectors with hot glue, route the wires towards the tail lamp and connect them as follows: the black wire to the ground, the green wire to the tail light 12V+, and the red wire to the brake light 12V+. Perform these steps on the other side as well, and enjoy the new JDM-style LED bumper reflectors on your Honda HR-V.
