This tutorial will show you how to install the high powered 11" 60W lower bumper insert LED light bar (35-991) onto your 2017-up Ford F-250, F-350, or F-450 Super Duty truck. Many LED light bar kits out there come with major compromises that you have to make or don't fit in trims with vital equipment. This 11" Ford LED light bar kit will accommodate your front license plate and/or your brake sensor box so you won't have to permanently remove anything! After installation, your Ford truck will have superior utility under its hood.
Step 1: Remove the license plate.
We recommend placing a cloth in between the gap to prevent losing any screws through the cracks.
Step 2: Mount the single construction light bar support bracket onto any two mounting holes. The wide opening on the bracket and the big washers included allows you to freely mount the light bar support bracket and make any shifting adjustments if necessary.
If your Ford Super Duty truck is equipped with the collision warning/brake sensor box, you can adjust the light bar bracket's mounting position accordingly. Your 11" LED light bar may look offset.
Step 3: Bolt the LED light bar onto the metal mounting bracket. If you want to keep your front license plate on, mount the LED light bar onto the inner oval holes. Put your license plate back on afterward.
If you do not plan on keeping your front bumper license plate on, you may mount the LED light bar onto the outer oval holes as shown below. This will make the Ford LED light bar pop out a little bit and look pronounced.
Step 4: Wire the LED light bar using the included relay wiring harness with switch.
Step 5: Test your LED light bar to make sure it lights up. Once it does, you can now enjoy your Ford Super Duty's new LED light bar!
