Before the installation, please make sure your truck does come with the OEM under hood lamp and its wiring harness before installing this Dodge LED underhood light kit.
Also when you shake this product, you will hear some rattling sound, which is normal due to its position sensor switch inside (please watch the product video for more information:
Step 1: Locate the stock under hood lamp and unplug it and remove the base that’s attached to the underhood structure.
Step 2: Due to how this product is designed, you need to bend and fold over the lamp once the base is attached to the under hood structure and use this base to further hold the lamp itself. Even the base and lamp are clipped together, even if the base is detached from the lamp like the 2nd picture, you can still install it.
Step 3: Connect the LED lamp back to the stock harness, and position the base to the mounting hole and screw back the bolt and finally slowly fold the LED lamp back to clip onto the base. Again, you might see the LED light flicking during the process, this is due to the switch/sensor inside the LED lamp.
