This is a tutorial on how to install the clear or smoked lens front and rear LED side marker lights for the 2016 and later Chevrolet Camaro (75-132). This is a complete set of side marker lights that feature 160-SMD LED diodes, which are miles brighter than your stock side markers. With this relatively simple LED upgrade, your Chevy's stock side marker lamps are replaced with a bolder and brighter amber and red LED light for the front and back side, respectively. What you'll get after this simple installation is a much brighter look on your Chevy Camaro that lets other drivers know where you are.
Front Side Amber Yellow LED Side Marker Lamps (75-134)
Step 1: Turn your wheel inwards to give yourself hand clearance to work. Remove the screw securing the wheel well.
Use a screwdriver or a similar item to peel back the wheel well liner and reveal the back end of your front OEM side marker light.
Step 2: Unclip the side marker light from your side fender and twist remove the OEM side marker light housing from the base.
Remove the bulb from the base.
Step 3: Insert the front side Camaro LED side marker light plug into the base.
Tuck in the wires so that water does not drip into the LED side marker light and wires.
Test the LED side marker light to make sure it functions. Once you've confirmed that it has, clip the front LED side marker lamp in and close your wheel well to finish. Repeat these steps for the other side.
Back Side Brilliant Red LED Side Marker Lamps (75-134A)
Step 1: To access your tail end side marker lights, use a Torx head screwdriver similar to the one shown below to open your rear wheel well.
Peel back the wheel well liner to reveal the back side of your stock tail end side marker lights.
Step 2: Pull out the harness from the stock side marker lights. Remove the side marker lamp from your rear fender. Twist unlock the OEM side marker light housing and remove the bulb from the base.
Step 3: Plug in the Chevy Camaro LED side marker light into the base and tuck in the wires so water does not drip into the housing or the wires. Test the LED side marker light to make sure it lights up properly. Once confirmed, clip the rear LED side marker light in and close your wheel well to finish. Repeat these steps for the other side.
